Terms of Use

Last updated: July 5, 2026

Welcome to Legacy Ministries. These terms explain how you may use Legacy and the Ask Doc experience. Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using Legacy, you agree to everything below.

1.Who May Use Legacy

Legacy Chat and community features are intended for adults 18 years of age or older. When you sign up, we ask for your date of birth so we can confirm you meet this requirement. By continuing, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

2.Accuracy of the Information You Provide

You agree that the information you give us, including your date of birth, is true, current, and accurate. Legacy relies on what you tell us to verify your age and to give you the right experience.

Legacy is not responsible for access gained through false, inaccurate, or misleading information. If someone provides untrue details to gain access, that is their responsibility, not ours.

3.What Ask Doc Is, and What It Is Not

Ask Doc shares pastoral wisdom in the style of Dr. James Merritt, drawn from his sermons, books, and Scripture. It is offered for encouragement, reflection, and spiritual growth.

Ask Doc is an AI-assisted tool. It is not a substitute for a personal relationship with a pastor, and it does not provide professional medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice. For urgent needs or a crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

4.Your Account

5.Service Provided As Is

Legacy is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We work hard to keep it accurate, reliable, and available, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of error. Content is for general guidance and may not fit every personal situation.

6.Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legacy Ministries and its team are not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of Legacy, including decisions made based on content from Ask Doc, or from access obtained through inaccurate information. Your use of Legacy is at your own discretion.

7.Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time as Legacy grows. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Legacy after a change means you accept the updated terms.
