Legacy Ministries brings AI-powered pastoral wisdom to churches worldwide. Ask Doc lets you explore decades of Dr. Merritt's sermon teachings through natural conversation. Every answer is grounded in his actual sermons and Scripture, with source citations so you can go deeper into the original messages.
Answers are generated using AI and grounded in Dr. Merritt's recorded sermons. Always refer to Scripture and pastoral counsel for important decisions of faith.
Every answer shows where its knowledge comes from. Here is how we measure it.
We search Dr. Merritt's 428+ sermon transcripts and published works for passages that match your question. Each match gets a relevance score from 0 to 1. Higher scores mean the answer closely reflects his actual words and teachings. A score of 0.75+ means the response is drawn almost directly from something he said.
We also search the Bible for relevant verses and passages. When Dr. Merritt references Scripture in his sermons, both the sermon and the verse are matched. Pure Bible questions will show a higher Scripture percentage.
This represents how much the AI had to connect the dots between sources. When source relevance is very high, the AI mostly arranges Dr. Merritt's own words. When relevance is lower, the AI draws on broader theological knowledge to fill gaps, always staying faithful to his teaching style.
When at least 3 sermon sources match with high relevance (0.74+) and sermons outweigh Bible sources, you will see Dr. Merritt's real photo, meaning the response is drawn directly from his teachings.
Otherwise, you will see Doc's AI Avatar, meaning the AI synthesized the answer in his style but drew more heavily on Scripture or general knowledge.
Every response includes clickable source citations so you can read the original sermon passages yourself.
Heaven is rejoicing right now. Welcome to the family of God.
